Registration

1. All tokens will be dispatched from Thursday, 28 March 2024. Unfortunately, we have no control over the arrival of the tokens once sent. Please email enquiries@caffenero.com if you have any questions.
2. To take part, you must live in the United Kingdom, and be at least 12 years old. If you are under 16 years old you will have to get permission from a parent or guardian to take part. We may ask for proof of age.

How it works

1. The 500 chosen applicants will receive a numbered token which can then be issued to a barista of choice. This barista should be someone that you feel provided excellent service — whether making you the perfect coffee or going out of their way to take care of you — whatever makes a difference to your day.
2. Once you hand your token to the barista or team, you can upload a photo of the moment via stars.caffenero.com or on our Facebook page, telling us why you have chosen them.
3. Your chosen barista will also inform Caffè Nero Head Office that they have been handed a Nero Star, and we will reward them internally in a variety of ways.
4. You can check and modify your details held by Caffè Nero by emailing enquiries@caffenero.com.

Content

1. Photos submitted should be landscape, in JPEG or PNG format (pictures from your phone are fine) and ideally be no larger than 5MB in size. Videos may be up to 10MB.
2. Photos and videos submitted may not contain any offensive or inappropriate content. Any responses deemed offensive will not be published.
3. Your photo or video must be your own original creation — no copyrighted content may be used.
4. Your entry must not infringe on any third party rights.
5. Caffè Nero reserves the right to edit and publish any photo or video.
6. Published content will be chosen by Caffè Nero marketing and external partners, based on the suitability for publishing in their view and the availability of space.

Participation

1. Participation is free of charge. No communication costs are charged (except the normal costs to access the website on the internet, to be borne by every entrant).
2. Multiple entries are not allowed.
3. Incomplete entries or entries which Caffè Nero deems to not be in accordance with the entry instructions are invalid.
4. Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash, and do not consist of anything other than is expressly set out above.
5. Any rewards are non-transferable. No cash or other alternative prizes are available in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control.
6. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing information to Caffè Nero and not to Facebook.
7. Caffè Nero’s decision is final on all matters relating to the promotion. Entry into the promotion constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
8. Caffè Nero reserves the right to select an alternative token winner in the event that it has reasonable grounds for believing that the selected winner has contravened any of these terms. Any alternative winner will be selected applying the same criteria as that used to select the original winner.
9. Neither Caffè Nero nor any of its agencies can be held responsible for a breakdown in communication systems that may result in an entry not being registered.
10. The winner's abbreviated name and city will be made available after Sunday, 12 May 2024 for a period of 30 days, to those making a request for the same by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Caffè Nero, 9-15 Neal Street, London, WC2H 9PU.

Usage

1. By entering the promotion, you understand that you have no ownership rights in any ideas you may submit, and you expressly disclaim any rights or causes of action you may have with respect to any materials you may submit, which may be used in publicity without further consent or payment.
2. Such publicity may include without limitation: use of the promotional entry, the entrant's name and/or likeness, voice, photographs and/or video footage of the entrant, biographical information provided by the entrants and/or any statement made by them concerning the Promotion and/or the reward.
3. Entries may be edited by Caffè Nero for promotional use.
4. Entrants agree that any or all such elements may be used by Caffè Nero in any and all media in perpetuity throughout the world as Caffè Nero in its sole discretion sees fit.
5. Caffè Nero reserves the right to change these terms & conditions at any time upon notice. Under these circumstances an updated version of the terms and conditions will be published as soon as possible.
6. Caffè Nero shall not be liable for any delay in performing, partial or total failure to perform any of its obligations to the winner under these terms if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
7. Without prejudice to the foregoing, neither Caffè Nero nor its agents shall be liable for damage of any nature suffered from (or in connection with) participating in the Promotion and/or reward, to the extent permitted by law.
8. All communications, questions or complaints relating to the promotion should be made by emailing Caffè Nero's customer services department - enquiries@caffenero.com. Complaints about the promotion can also be addressed in writing to your local regulatory body. For the avoidance of doubt, entrants' rights and remedies in relation to the promotion lie solely against Caffè Nero.
